Shamgarh is a town and a nagar panchayat in Mandsaur district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
The Shamgarh Nagar Panchayat has population of 24,637 as per report released by Census India 2011.
It is an important railway station on Delhi-Mumbai Railway track where Almost every train (except Rajdhani Express) halts.
